Do I need to own a library?

A small potential problem I've been running into, is that I don't own a lot of the books that have inspired me. While I still want to draw from a lot of different sources, I worry about how it will work out once I actually start writing a systematic theology. What if I forget which book or author made an important point? Or worse, what if I remember a specific sentence I want to quote, but the only library that has the book is way far away. Should I ask them to send it, just I can get the page number (in the case that neither Amazon nor Google can search through it).

Well fellow theologians/preachers? Do you take any or a lot of notes on the religion books you read, specifically when you find important ideas or quotes? Let me know in the comments!
