To put it in binary terms, (how) can I make a just theology for people in both classes: the privileged & the oppressed?
Consider this example: 1) A theology affirming survival & self-preservation. Such a theology could be taken as affirming the core of Black Lives Matter. But what power of critique does such a theology have against white cops who feel their survival/preservation at risk because they have been taught to believe dark-skinned bodies are threatening and dangerous.
A common reverse example is theologies that center on total sacrifice. From a rich imperial maleperspective, total sacrifice flips the social order. For colonial and/or female subjects, total sacrifice is what has always been demanded. So such a theory loft reinforces the social order for them.
So how do we make theology that translates to both sides while staying true to justice?
